This privacy policy explains how eClassy Class (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application for parents and guardians.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: name, phone number, and email address when you register or sign in
• Child and school data: information needed to link you to your child’s class (e.g. invite codes), as provided by your teacher or institute
• Device information: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token, device platform (iOS/Android), and app version
• Usage data: sign-in activity and in-app notification history

3. How we use your information

• To give you access to homework, announcements, attendance, and payment reminders for linked children
• To send push notifications about school updates
• To maintain your account and parent–child links
• To keep the service secure and reliable

4. Push notifications

• We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver alerts
• You can turn off notifications in the app (Settings) or in your device system settings
• Turning off notifications stops new pushes; messages already shown in the app may remain in your notification history

5. Data sharing

• We share information only with your linked teachers and institute as needed for school communication
• We use Firebase (Google) for authentication and messaging
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties

6. Data retention and deletion

• You can delete your account from Settings → Delete account, which anonymizes personal data on our servers

• Some records may be kept where required by law or for legitimate school administration

8. Children

eClassy Class is intended for parents and guardians, not for direct use by children. Student information is managed by teachers through eClassy Teacher.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and on our servers. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
